Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon National Park is a powerful and inspiring landscape that overwhelms our senses through its immense size; 277 river miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and a mile deep. Along the south rim, nestled among the ponderosa and pinon pine are small clusters of Gambel oak, Quercus gambelii, the focal point of our new phenological monitoring effort.
